Ten years ago, we opened a restaurant with no olive oil, no pepper, and no compromise.
Since then, we’ve been busy – not just cooking, drinking, and overhauling the gastronomy industry, but staying true to what we believe in: radical regionality, hard questions, and a damn good time.
While we don’t do what we do for awards, we also won’t pretend we don’t enjoy a little recognition now and then.
Here’s what 2025 has brought us so far:
Our Michelin star – for the 10th year in a row.
We got our first just months after we opened back in 2015, and we’re glad that – a decade on – we’ve managed to hold onto it for dear life.
We landed at No. 59 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.
Which makes us one of four German restaurants to be included in the top 100. (And yes, perhaps we’ll even forgive Tim Raue for slotting in ahead of us at 58.)
360° Eat Guide awarded us 3 sustainability circles.
“The first restaurant guide to look beyond the plate, considering both the gastronomic experience and sustainability” awarded us their highest rating – we’re incredibly proud! Only two other restaurants received three circles as well, one of them being our wonderful colleagues at Horváth here in Berlin.
Star Wine List named us Best German Wine List.
“There were some fabulous wine lists submitted but nothing quite as spectacular as this one. A masterpiece in every way!” Their words, not ours.
Wine Spectator gave us 2 out of 3 glasses.
Only 17 restaurants in Germany have two. Just one has three.
Of course, we’d love it if our most recent haul of accolades inspired you to come and part with some of your hard-earned cash in exchange for chilled drinks, local fare and Billy’s signature wisecracks.
